Here, on top of a hill with granite terraces, you will quickly discover the charm of the rocky coast of Maine. The ideal location of our hotel puts us just minutes away from the many attractions that make this corner of Maine one of the most popular retreats in the nation. The original building on the Bluenose Inn site was built in 1884 as a summer estate by Mrs. William Morris Hunt, the widow of an artist. The stone of this palatial "country house", which she called Mizzentop, remains under the building that bears her name. Accommodation at today's luxurious resort is defined by two elegant guest buildings: the luxurious 53-room Mizzentop, which also houses our registration office, the Business Center, the cozy Great Room Piano Room and our Vista meeting room Room; and Stenna Nordica, with 45 tastefully decorated rooms and a glass front elevator. A third building houses our heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym and Eden Spa. Our grounds feature a heated outdoor pool, garden trails and, of course, our panoramic views of Frenchman Bay.
