It is located in the historic centre of Úbeda , a town in the province of Jaén , to the west of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas, and bordering the Guadalquivir. The building has an impressive colonnaded courtyard and gardens with a water fountain, where guests can eat or have a drink.
With a stately air and a medieval touch, the castle preserves much of its stone decoration, railings and walls, and its rooms are decorated in a sober medieval style, with Castilian furniture and damask textiles in warm tones.
